As a congregation of the Lutheran Congregations in Mission for Christ (LCMC), we are committed to faithfully proclaiming Jesus Christ, teaching God's Word, and sharing His love with our community. We strive to be a welcoming family in Christ where people of all ages can grow in faith, build lasting relationships, and serve others together.
Holy Communion is celebrated on the first and third Sundays of each month.

LUTHERAN CHURCH
Sometimes you get to see the impact of giving in the most unexpected ways.
A little back story... About a year ago, our congregation made the decision that even though Apostles Lutheran Church was facing financial challenges of our own, we would set aside a portion of our tithes to bless other ministries and organizations. We felt it was important to continue giving and trusting God, even when things were tight for us.
A few months ago, we learned about St. Paul Lutheran Church in Kodiak, Alaska, a congregation in need of a new roof. Maybe because we knew firsthand what it was like to face our own roof troubles, we felt led to help.
At the time, we never imagined we would actually get to meet someone from the congregation we had helped—especially not right here at Apostles.
But that's exactly what happened last Sunday.
We had an unfamiliar face in our pews, and after introducing ourselves, we learned that
his name was James. He was visiting our area for work—and he is a member
of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Kodiak!
But the story gets even sweeter. We learned that it was actually James's wife who
recognized Apostles Lutheran Church as a contributor to their new roof fund. Why?
Because she used to be a member of Apostles! For those who have been members
here for a while, you may recognize the last name Lynch—James's in-laws. When his
wife saw the name Apostles, she immediately knew who we were and encouraged James
to worship with us while he was in town. What are the chances?!
It was such a neat opportunity to put a face to one of the ministries we've supported
and a wonderful reminder of just how far our giving can reach. We don't always get to see
where our gifts go or the people they touch, but every once in a while, God gives us a glimpse
of those connections in a way we never could have expected.
From Chesapeake to Kodiak—and, somehow, right back to Apostles—God has a pretty amazing way of bringing people together.
DEACON INSTALLATION OF CHRIS DOMINO
On Sunday, July 19, our church family gathered for a meaningful service to celebrate the installation of Deacon Chris Domino. Chris and his family have been faithful members of Apostles Lutheran Church for several years. During that time, he has shared God's Word through many inspiring messages, served our congregation with humility, and answered God's call to ministry.
During the installation, our congregation, along with Chris's family and friends, gathered around him in prayer. We asked God to bless him with wisdom, strength, and guidance as he begins this new chapter of ministry, knowing that those whom God calls are never called to serve alone. They are supported by the prayers and encouragement of the church family and, above all, by the Lord Himself.
As our service came to a close, we sang Our Confidence Is in the Lord. The words, "God is our fortress, we will not be shaken," beautifully echoed the message of the day—that through every season of change, the Lord will continue to guide, strengthen, and sustain us.

JOIN THE MOVEMENT
Here are a few of our ladies from our Peace Quilters Ministry, they gathered together to make purses for young ladies in Zambia through Sew Powerful.
Each purse is made with love and will be given to a girl as part of a program that helps her stay in school and continue her education.
We are so thankful for these ladies and the many ways they faithfully use their time and talents to serve others, both in our community and around the world.

INSTALLATION OF CALL COMMITTEE
On Sunday, July 12, we installed our Call Committee as they begin the important work of seeking the pastor God is calling to serve Apostles Lutheran Church.
As we continue to move forward together, we ask you to join us in praying for each member of the committee—that God would grant them wisdom, discernment, unity, and guidance throughout this journey. Even in a season of change, God has faithfully blessed our congregation in countless ways, reminding us that He continues to lead and provide. We trust in His timing and look with hope toward the future He has prepared for our church.
