At Apostles Lutheran Church, we believe that walking in faith is enriched through a vibrant Christian community. Together, we grow closer to Christ and to one another by sharing our lives and supporting each other in love and service.
We offer opportunities for all ages and stages, including Men’s Ministry, Women’s Ministry, Kids’ Ministry, Youth Ministry, Peace Quilters, and Prayer Shawl Ministry. Each ministry fosters fellowship, spiritual growth, and a deeper connection to God’s work in our lives. Join us as we journey together in faith!
Men's Ministry
Join us for coffee and fellowship! All men are welcome as we explore ways to navigate the different stages of life together. God has a purpose for every man, and we are called to be leaders in our homes—a challenge we face and grow through together. Let’s support and encourage one another on this journey!

Women's Ministry
Join our Women’s Ministry for an evening of fellowship, prayer, and spiritual growth. This is a welcoming space to deepen your walk with the Lord, share life’s joys and challenges, and build meaningful friendships with other women of faith.
We meet every Wednesday from 6:30–8:00 PM in the Hebrews Cafe. Whether you’re new to faith, seeking a closer connection with God, or looking for a supportive community, we warmly invite you to join us!
Apostles Kids!
Apostles Kids is a vibrant program dedicated to helping children learn about God and grow together in a supportive, faith-filled community. Through engaging activities, Bible lessons, worship, and fellowship, the ministry encourages kids to explore their faith, build meaningful relationships, and develop a lifelong connection with God. It's a place where children can grow spiritually, emotionally, and socially while having fun and forming lasting friendships.
Apostles Youth Group
Apostles Youth Group is a dynamic ministry designed to guide middle and high school students in discovering and embracing their God-given calling. Through group outings, engaging activities, volunteer service, Bible study, and worship, the youth group fosters spiritual growth, leadership, and community. It’s a space where young people can deepen their faith, build meaningful connections, and make a positive impact while navigating life’s challenges with the support of peers and mentors.
Peace Quilters
Join us in creating lap quilts for those in need—no experience needed! Bring a sewing machine, thread, and a desire to serve as we share God’s love through our work.
We meet in the Annex at Apostles on the second Saturday of each month from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. For details, contact the church office at 757-547-4692 or office@apostles-lutheran.org.
Prayer Shawl Ministry
Prayer shawls offer warmth, peace, and a reminder of God’s love. Each shawl, hand-crocheted by Georgia Barton since 2010, is prayed over during its creation and blessed by our pastor or prayer team before being delivered with love and a scripture message.
