PRAYER REQUESTS & PRAISE REPORTS

Sharon Hilgeman:  Needs our ongoing prayers for her health issues.  Pray for Sharon to experience God’s healing touch and relief from chronic pain that she has endured.  Pray for complete healing and renewed physical strength.

Rita Mahler: Please keep her father, Charles Hutton, in your prayers.  He is recovering from a shoulder injury and is dealing with lung problems.  He also has dementia.  Please pray for God’s healing touch and for the family to have peace of mind.

Bill & Regina Knapp:  Regina’s brother, Mark, is having complications with diabetes and is in the hospital.  Please pray for healing and strength during this time.

David Stokes:  Is asking the congregation to keep him in prayer as he seeks a closer walk with Christ Jesus.  He is also looking for gainful employment to provide for his financial and housing needs.

Church of the Messiah: Please keep Pastor Marty O’Rourke and the members of Church of the Messiah in your prayers. A ruling by the denominational board went against them in  regard to ownership of their church property. Pray that the Lord will lead the congregation and make provision for them.

Apostles Women’s Ministry:  Please pray for the Women’s Ministry in 2012 as they continue to meet for Bible Study, encouragement and fellowship.  Pray that the women of Apostles will reflect glory of the Lord in all of their activities.  Please pray for the leadership team, including Linda Ifko and Tracy Stoline as they guide the ministry in the coming year.

*  Thanks to the Altar Guild leaders and members who prepare the Sanctuary and Communion each week.  Anonymous

*  A big thank you to all the ladies that helped with the Christmas decorations.  The Church looks beautiful!  Lynn

* A big thank you to Martin Zak for all the time he puts into being the Treasurer for Apostles.  His attention to  minute details in handling the church funds show us how we are serving Christ with our monetary blessings.  Additionally, any of the glitches that occur in the Apostles computer programming, Martin is always one of the first to respond and “upgrade” or fix the problem.  Thank you, Martin.   Anonymous

* A big thank you to Ralph Burkhardt for always fixing coffee early Sunday mornings and for cleaning up after Fellowship Hour.  Anonymous

* Thank you to Keith Lockhart for the trumpet playing.  It certainly adds to our worship time!  Anonymous

 * I would like to recognize the dedication for the many years of service from Martin Zak and Gail Orlando. I believe Martin is the hardest working person at Apostles handling the church's financial matters. Gail has been the church council secretary for more than a decade! Thank you for the all that you do for us at Apostles.  Orin

* I am grateful that we have people who sign up to host coffee hour on a regular basis.  There is a real feeling of family celebrations over the goodies, and it makes our visitors more inclined to spend a few minutes with us!  Tracy

* Thank you to Larry Nafziger for all of his good and faithful work with the sound system and Sermon CD Ministry.  Also for cleaning the front sidewalk before church each Sunday.   Susan

* Thank you to Betty Friedrichsen for all of her faithful “behind the scenes” work she used to do with the altar guild.  And a thank you to Lynn Schaubert for graciously   taking over the altar guild responsibilities!  Susan

* A big thank you to Orin Reams for all he does around the Church; changing light bulbs, cleaning windows, and many general duties that a sexton might be doing.  Anonymous

* A big thank you to the folks who do Children’s Church.  They plan and do not know how many children will be in the group.  For visitors with children, they make a big impact on whether the family returns to worship again at Apostles.  Anonymous

* John Polakowski does so much to improve the main church building as well as the inside and outside of PROMOTE.  Most recently his partnering with Chuck Green to ensure the correct electrical outlets and wiring were installed for our gorgeous new sign.  Thank you, John for ensuring that your Apostles family has a wonderful place to worship Jesus!  Anonymous
